What is a Quick GAIS?
Quick GAIS is a streamlined version of the classic GAIS survey, featuring just nine questions. It takes only 2–3 minutes to complete and offers a fast snapshot of the current level of work motivation within an organization. The questionnaire is based on the GAIS model, measuring both overall motivation and the seven key factors known to significantly influence it.
Quick GAIS - a condensed approach
Quick GAIS uses one indicator for overall work motivation and one question for each of the seven factors. At the end of the survey, respondents are asked to assess the importance of each factor to their motivation at work.
Because each factor is covered by just one question, the survey provides a broad overview rather than an in-depth analysis. However, it serves as an excellent starting point for initiating dialogue or deciding whether to follow up with a full GAIS survey of 38 questions.

All questions are answered on a scale from 0 to 10, where:
- 0 = not at all
- 10 = to a very high degree
Overall Work Motivation

The Seven Factors

2. Leadership: Is your immediate manager a good leader?
3. Results: Do you achieve tangible results in your work?
4. Work-Life Balance: Is there a healthy balance in your work life?
5. Mastery: Are your tasks well-matched to your skills and abilities?
6. Meaning: Does your work feel meaningful?

At the end of the questionnaire, respondents are asked to rank the seven factors based on how important each is to their personal work motivation.
