A segment is a smaller part of your survey – for example, a specific department, age group, or location. You can use segments to analyse partial results or share reports with relevant managers without allowing access to the entire survey.
How to create a new segment
- Go to Surveys in GAIS.
- Locate the survey where you want to create segments and select Edit.
2. Select “Data segment”
Click the Data subsets tab in the white banner at the top.
3. Click on create segment
- A new window will open showing your segments.
- Your predefined segments are created based on your Organisation setup (for paid subscriptions)
You can select one or more segment criteria, fx.
Department: e.g., Sales and Marketing
Age: e.g., 30–39 years
Country: e.g., Denmark and Sweden
You can create as many segments as you like. Predefined segments are made based on the Organisation (for paid subscriptions).
- A subset must have at least 5 responses to ensure anonymity; otherwise, it will not be displayed.
Choose Segments in the white banner. Your predefined segments based on Organisation are shown here (for paid subscriptions). If you want to create more segments, press Create Segment.
Save the segment
1. Give the segment a descriptive name – e.g. Sales 30–39 years.
2. Click on Save segment
3. Your segment will now appear in the list of your saved segments
