Questionnaire Factor Survey "Purpose"

Attached is an overview of the questions included in the measurement if you are doing a factor measurement specifically on “Purpose”. The 16 questions are based on the survey model behind the report “Purpose - Luxury or Necessity”, published by the Center for Good Job Satisfaction.

Questionnaire structure

The questionnaire is based on four dimensions, each of which is important for purpose formation. This has been documented and validated by research conducted by the Center for Good Job Satisfaction in collaboration with the Kantar Gallup Group.

The four dimensions are:

  • Inner meaning:  Inner meaning concerns the experience that work provides something meaningful on a personal level. Work provides meaning in relation to who you are, what you can do, and what you want for my working life.

  • Broader meaning: The idea of a broader meaning is about the experience that through work you contribute to something broader - either for other individuals or in a broader societal sense.

  • Collaborative meaning: Collaborative meaning concerns the experience of working better together at work. This means that through the collegial community, we become better both socially and professionally than we would be individually.

  • Organizational meaning: Organizational meaning concerns the experience that the decisions and changes that happens in my workplace make sense to me.
